For the last 15 years, my teaching has focusing on two parts: highly advanced students from music schools, and amatuear students age from 4-76. I have worked in many music schools teaching piano major and minor students preparing for professional performance careers. Including broad selections for repertoire, constant developing of finger strength and technique, preparing for competitions, auditions, and performances. For every piano student they will learn theory/ ear training, technique (scales, finger exercises etc..)reading (Sight reading and reading music), and then fun part. Throughout my years in Colorado, I worked several years as a volunteer music teacher assistant. During this time, I worked with children from as little as preschool all the way up to 7th graders and got them engaged in a musical environment. After this, I began teaching private piano lessons to close individuals who wanted to introduced to the instrument. Instruments: Piano Flute Music

For beginning students in flute and piano, I use Trevor Wye flute books and Alfred piano books, respectively. These books cover fundamentals and hand technique and once that is learned and internalized, then I will introduce more solo or accompanied repertoire that they would eventually perform in a recital. For beginning composition students (which are taught remotely on Zoom), I will go over different "lectures" about fundamental music theory and integrate short composition assignments that go according to what was learned in the lesson. I have been teaching private voice for three years, and feel like I truly thrive when I'm sharing my knowlege of music and performance. At Colorado State University I taught a to wide range of students and styles from freshmen voice majors, choral conducting graduate students, theater majors, voice minors, and even a couple aspiring folk/country singers! I also taught a Fundamentals of Music Theory course to over 100 non-music majors, covering reading music, piano basics, intro to harmony, the physics of music and the psychology of music. Read More

I Love teaching music, and love helping others progress on their musical journeys!
