I teach vocal students from ages 6-adult. We work on breathing techniques, music theory, interpretation, and style. I like students to sing their favorite styles. I also expose them to songs that I feel would be appropriate for their growth. We also work on performance and auditions! With beginning and intermediate students, I work a lot with Faber and Faber's Piano Adventures and with the Alfred method. However, I am open to other methods if the student has a preference. With advanced students I strive towards a variety of repertoire. If they are classical players, I will make sure to eventually cover something Baroque, Classical (Mozart, Haydn, etc.), Romantic, and something modern, as well as all the gaps in between. Read More

I have loved music from a very early age and I have been fortunate to study a variety of instruments and musical styles. I grew up studying the drums, piano, guitar, voice, and songwriting. I have been in a cover bands, original bands, jazz bands, choirs, a country band, a steel drum band, marching band, opera, a pop orchestra, a hip hop ensemble, and musical theatre productions.
