Both my piano lessons and vocal coaching emphasize technique but my main goal is to build confidence in performance. Confidence can only come from correct practice, but correct practice can only come if you're motivated and you're having fun! Hello! I am a highly motivated private instructor that loves to share my passion of music to all. I graduated from Emporia State University in May 2023 with my Master of Music degree in Flute Performance. During my time at ESU I was in the marching band (piccolo/trumpet), Hornet Revue (piccolo), Jazz Ensemble (piano), Wind Ensemble (principal flute/piccolo), symphony orchestra (principal flute), fall musicals, and flute choir. For both piano and voice students, I like to include a book of tunes with which the student is familiar: movie tunes, Disney songs, etc. For older students, I will focus a little more on the different time periods of music and help them to gain an appreciation for each. I am a native of Russia. In 2001 I moved to the United States. In 2005 I became a US citizen. I studied music for seven years to earn my Bachelor of Arts degree in vocals and piano. I studied six more years in conservatory to obtain my Masters degrees in music performance and education. I love to teach and to see my students progress in their musical studies.
