I began studying piano when I was 6 years old and developed a passion for music from a young age. I'm a graduate of the California Jazz Conservatory in Berkeley CA (B.M., 16) where my teachers included Benny Green, Peter Horvath and Art Lande. In 2011 I began teachingpiano and guitar lessons to children and adults in the San Fransisco Bay Area. Most students were sometimes getting good but sometimes they have a hard time playing with difficult notes that I teach. Some students were getting good on the beginning methods and understanding what the music book is going to read and learn about. I encourage the students to practice the beginning methods seriously for about 30 minutes. If the student is getting a little hard, she can take a break for 10 minutes and go back to the homework. I do use printed method books for my students to guide them along the process (Hal Leonard, Rubank, Taffanael and Gaubert Bernstein to name a few) for the child, methods and scales will be assigned to teach proper technique and positioning.
