I'm a graduate of Berklee College of Music, and also have a career in musical theatre composition. Pianist Jinsun Y. was born in South Korea and began piano studies at the age of 7. She majored in piano at Yewon School and Seoul Arts High School, and she received her bachelors degree from Yonsei University in Seoul in 2002. She moved to the United States to continue her studies at the New England Conservatory (NEC) with scholarship, where she studied with Alexander Korsantia. I always try not to push for practice assignments, students are busy for school homework, outdoor activities, family obligations, most importantly, students should have fun to play music, of course practice is important, but if students lost interest in music playing, it will be hard to continue to have lessons. I dont ever set any fixed expectations and rules in teaching as they are all adjustable to me working with individuals who are all at different levels and share different values.
