I am a passionate musician and actor and I want to share my joy of the arts with the world through performance, education, and collaboration. I am originally from Denver, CO where my music journey began. At the age of 5, I began taking piano lessons. A few years later, I began to branch out into drums, inspired by my dad who is also a drummer. This led to many ensemble settings for two decades, including jazz band, symphonic percussion, marching percussion, and rock bands. Read More

As I refine my own skills as a singer through performance experiences, I am eager to pass along the knowledge I have learned to the next generation of students and enthusiastic amateurs. Music is meant to be shared and I cannot wait to give you the tools to unlock your creative potential. As students develop, I hope to inspire a deep appreciation for all types of music through creative repertoire choices and varied ways of thinking about music. Read More

I've been teaching in the greater Los Angeles area for almost 20 years, teaching students from ages 4 - 92 (yes, really! 92!). Levels range from beginning to professional, with advanced students having won scholarships and awards. I encourage all of my students to learn the language of music; to learn about their instrument and the best means of expression using that instrument. For the past 8 years, lessons have been supplemented with an annual holiday recital where students have the opportunity to perform, which is an important part of the learning process! Read More

Have fun. Love what you do. If it stops being fun push a little further ahead and see what happens. All it takes is a little ember to start a fire and I am ready to help my students find that fire within themselves. Its not always going to be easy and they will fall and stumble and when that does happen (and it will) I will be there to show them how to pick themselves up. Read More

There is no better feeling than witnessing a student develop a passion for music! Therefore, each student must progress at their own pace. This is encouraged by setting realistic goals for my students during each lesson. It is important to acknowledge accomplishments as this helps fuel a student's desire to progress and makes them more eager to continue learning. In conclusion, it is about working one-on-one with the student, identifying their strengths and weaknesses, and helping them grow as pianists and musicians at their set pace. Read More

I have been teaching music for 10 years. In that time I have taught in 3 major cities, or 2 continents both privately and through respected insitutions such as the Hollywood Academy of Music and Brooklyn Guitar School.During my most recent time in New York (over 2 years), I maintained a roster of 15-20 private weekly students, throughout the 5 boroughs.Working with different students from different backgrounds in multiple cities has greatly informed my teaching and stoked my passion for passing on my musical knowledge.
