For the past 20 years, I've studied and performed with keyboards, guitars and woodwind instruments while exploring a very wide variety of music ranging from classical and rock to jazz and avant-garde. I love being able to work with students of all ages :) I worked for a time as the events coordinator in a nursing home and got to use music as therapy and even teach some of the senior residents! My teaching experience started in high school when I started teaching harp and piano part time. I had a close relationship with my music teachers growing up and I hope to establish the same type of relationship with my own students as I have with previous ones. It's also important that there is a balance between fun and time put in. Without practice, one cannot play an instrument well. She was chosen as a Semi-Finalist in the Intel Superstars Competition and as a regional Semi-Finalist in the OurStage Warped Tour Competition. She has opened for Marky Ramone the Speed Kings, D.I., Rev. Norb the Onions, and Val Emmich. In 2015, Mary released a 5-song EP with her band, Mary The Immaculate Rejections, and most recently, she released a 3-song EP of old recordings, entitled "Coal Miner's Granddaughter: The Lost Tapes."
