Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! And this is my goal, also because I work mostly with kids. I believe teaching piano is something bigger then only talk about Technic. I think is very important know my students very well, know about they backgrounds. From there, we can build upon these foundations and explore more advanced concepts and techniques. I believe it is important to not only teach the technical aspect of drumming, but also the musicality and artistry that go into creating drum beats and rhythms. I encourage my students to listen to a wide range of music and try to incorporate different styles and influences into their playing. One of the things I love most about teaching drums is seeing my students progress and discover their own unique voice as drummers. Read More

I like to combine what the student is looking for musically and build upon that while supplementing the method book. For younger students I tried to engage them by making the lesson fun. If an adult is interested in popular music I supplement the lesson with a method book that is geared toward popular music. Read More

My philosophy in music learning is that a student should progress solidly, but enjoy the learning process. I believe a good foundation in technique will allow a student to progress successfully and quickly in any types and levels of repertories he or she wishes to accomplish. However, self expression and musicality are equally important. I therefore value students' individual characters when performing, and aim to strengthen and improve each individual student's unique musical character. Read More
