I started my musical journey at the age of four years old and never stopped learning music and arts education since then. As a result of my commitment to my craft I had numerous opportunities to perform and record as an accomplished artist throughout the United States and abroad. As an international performer my credits include touring throughout the country of China as a lead singer for the state of the arts Thai City Theater. Read More

For any students, my method has always been consistent with all types of music. I always ask my students to know what type of music they are most interested in performing, so that I can help them better by giving them lessons that will surely have them perform with ease. In general, after I get to know my students, I help them read notes. And as we progress, I help them study some vocalises and Italian songs for beginners. Read More

I focus on nurturing a students natural curiosity, while helping them find the tools to pursue their own musical interests. Many of my younger students prefer to use technology to connect with music (learning how songs are recorded, and the theory behind songwriting), but I also work with more serious students to prepare for college auditions, state/regional jazz band, etc. My methods differ depending on a student's own goals, but they generally all will start with a technical exercise, an exercise designed to get the student thinking critically, and an application of the concepts we're learning. I am also realistic with our goals. If you don't want to become the next french horn superstar, thats fine. Read More

Nothing brings me more joy than seeing someone accomplish their goals, especially when its something as special as music. Setting goals and tackling them step by step plays a huge role in learning anything, and piano is no different. Small goals quickly become big ones as they are stacked on top one another, bringing about a sense of accomplishment from the student - propelling them even further and inspiring their will to bring about further success. For beginning piano students, I often get them started with the Faber piano series, then incorporate music theory along with their song requests. For beginning fretted string students (guitar/bass/ukelele), I like to start with the Hal Leonard method book to get started with reading notation, so that we cover more than just tabs and chords. For drum/percussion students, I'll have them start with a combination of Syncopation by Ted Reed and Peter Erksine's Drumset Essentials Volume 1. Read More
