I work to find things that work best for each student. I believe that reading music is a very important cornerstone in learning to play an instrument. For beginning flute students, I use the Trevor Wye flute instruction books, along with the curriculum that is being taught in the student's band class at school. Theory is emphasized as well as technique for both the piano and voice student.
