I've been teaching trumpet since I was a freshman in High School. My mother is a band director for Selma Middle School and frequently asks me to tutor students or conduct a group session. After High School, many private teaching opportunities opened up for me, including Hope Middle School, Red Wood Middle School, Clinton Middle School, as well as brass tech for Topsail High School and Clinton High School. Every student is a snowflake, meaning everyone has their own unique preferences and dislikes. I customize my teaching style depending on the student and allow them to progress at their own pace. I like to first introduce students to basics and learn their tastes so I can modify their teaching regimen. I assign students "homework" or practice songs each week to ensure they are maintaining their routine, and if they deviate from this for some reason for more than two weeks, I immediately tune my teaching style to best motivate my students to want to practice. I have loved music my entire life, and I am a fun, knowledgeable and dedicated teacher of both the clarinet and the piano. After graduating with a clarinet performance degree from the New England Conservatory of Music in 2007, I have performed in many Boston and New Hampshire-area orchestras.  I am originally from the very small town of Barryville, NY, and my orchestral career has taken me to wonderful concert halls like Boston's Symphony Hall, Clevelan'ds Blossom Music Center, and New York's Carnegie Hall.
