I normally use the Standard of Excellence method books for most of my students; however, I am open minded to adjusting to each individual student's musical needs, whether it be Jazz, Classical, or whatever style music the student is focusing on. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Essential Elements of Band by Hal Leonard and Tradition of Excellence by Bruce Pearson and Ryan Nowlin. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce more advanced method books such as J.B. Arban: A Complete Method, and various etude books as well as solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. Read More

I'm an energetic and encouraging instructor who loves to foster a love of music in my students and help them reach their goals. I graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree in trombone performance from the Hartt School of Music, Theater, and Dance in 2018 and I am currently working on a masters degree at the Hartt School.
