I began teaching through my high school mentorship program in Texas during the early 2000s. Since then I have obtained my Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Northwestern State University, as well as a Master's degree in Trombone Performance. I did a semester of student teaching with the award winning Argyle High School band program in Argyle, Texas in 2012. I teach my students to be self sufficient and to problem solve by themselves. By doing this it allows the student to make logical decisions and corrections in their own practice so they can establish routines of their own. I want all students to be able to evaluate their own performances so they can use their own individual practice time efficiently.
