I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves sharing my love of jazz with students. In 2010, I graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trumpet Performance, Jazz. I have performed in South Africa and Mozambique from 2005-2012 with jazz performance ranging from small venues to larger venues with Heads of State. With beginning students, I tend to focus on the fundamentals for the instrument, and music. An adequate grasp of the fundamentals, along with consistent practice and rehearsal times, lead to a student expediting their abilities. At this point, I will start distributing solo repertoire/literature and duets. I always encourage my students to perform for one another and to their friends and family.
