Once I have assessed a students's personal ability, there is discussion of what goals/objectives the student wshes to achieve. Jennifer is an eclectic violinist, violist and, composer from Beaver, Pennsylvania. Her passion is to connect people through the power of music, whether it is teaching privately in the Greater Chicago area, or performing and composing with her multi-genre ensemble, Inside Voice(s). In recent years, Jennifer performed with Kaki King on the New York Public Radio. After finishing an apprenticeship in carpentry and becoming a certified carpentry journeyman, I worked as a trade showroom carpenter in Berlin and Vienna. For my mandatory conscription in Austria, I served as an ambulance paramedic. I obtained a bachelor's and a master's in music and dance performance and education at leading universities in Salzburg and Barcelona. From 2008 to 2011, I worked for the University Mozarteum Salzburg, producing, light-engineering, shooting and editing final performances of graduating students using professional studio camera equipment and software. I draw heavily on the Suzuki method when I teach. For young beginners this means a lot of ear training using singing, recordings, and games. For young students, I ask a parent to be involved in the training so that they can help the child with practicing. The key to young beginners is making everything fun and not going too fast.
