I am a classical violinist with a very deep passion for classical music. I did my Bachelor's from 2016 to 2020 in Music Performance at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey ad I am currently pursuing my Master's Degree in music, also at the Mason Gross School of the Arts. Performing is a very strong passion of mine and I am glad I had the opportunity to perform in Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, as well as several music festivals such as the Killington Music Festival in Vermont, the Brevard Music Center in North Carolina, and the Summit International Music Festival in New York. Teaching methods are varied according to different students. I believe that each student has their personality and own way of learing, so one way of teaching wouldn't fit all students at the same time. For beginner students who are children, I typically start with some fun musical games to help them learn the fundamentals, for adults I usually jump right on what's needed to establish the basics because efficiency is the priority thing they look for in making progress of playing the violin. My teaching experience dates back to my school days, as I began teaching private lessons part time ,from 2003,and have been consistently teaching students in my home and at students homes, for the last 10 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for the younger students, as it tends to help the student progress. Thanks to my studying of violin teaching methodology,I found that, there’s no ideal formula of teaching violin to everyone, the same way ,as ,there’s no ideal magor or minor scale, for practicing only that technique to achieve the best result, as people have defferent cultural and musical backgrounds, so student should enjoy the lesson and have fun while learning . It is extremely important to set realistic goals for each student. I accomplish this by isolating each issue and not trying to spend one lesson addressing everything. Instead of overwhelming the student, I try to set realistic and obtainable goals for each student while retaining the challenge. As the student improves, I gradually start setting more challenging goals according to each student's ability. I don't have a singular method because every student is different. At the beginning of my lessons with a new student we will begin getting to know each other. Then we try different things. Some students are naturals at imitating what they hear, so we play to those strengths. Other students are more comfortable with structure and math, so we take that route instead. Ever since I started playing viola in the third grade, I have been drawn to performing and teaching music. I am a graduate of the Hartt School, where I was a member of an honors chamber music program, Performance 20-20. Since 2007 I have been a violist in the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra and freelance on both viola and violin throughout Connecticut and Westchester County, NY.
