I tailor my lessons to each individual student. Students learn at different rates, so, therefore, I want each student to progress at his or her own pace, without comparison to where my other students may be at. I want learning an instrument to be an enjoyable experience, and though the student may have to do and play practices, exercises, and pieces that they may not necessarily enjoy in the moment, it will all be beneficial to him or her in the long run and I will incorporate pieces and selections that interest them as well. I teach the with Suzuki method. The Suzuki Method focuses on the Mother Tongue Method and was created by Dr. Sinichi Suzuki. He, and I, believe that every child is able to play music beautifully. The method emphasizes listening and parental involvement. I look to find the balance between challenge and enjoyment for each student.
