I have been teaching since 1984 and now I teach from my home studio. I am not trying to make my students the best in the world but I want them to love music. My students have accomplished many goals. They have all had the chance to perform in recitals. Some have won scholarships to private schools and colleges, gotten to perform at Disney World to record music for a movie soundtrack and have won top music awards from their high school graduations. I am a young and engaging teacher.  I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Nyack College with a degree in Music Education.   I am a scholarship winning pianist with experience both in the classical and contemporary realms.  I am also an advanced violinist and have served as the concert master in both the Molloy College and Nyack College orchestras.  I have performed in four countries and recently accompanied the Nyack College Chorale in Lincoln Center. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with violin method book, Essential Elements for Strings to learn the good basics and reading the notes and where to find those notes they just learned on the fingerboard. I also introduce the Suzuki Violin School volume 1 to learn the major songs written for the violin and simply to play more songs than the scales and exercises. For students who are more advanced, I help them their school orchestra music and make sure they are doing very well on top of the class in addition to continuing with the private lesson music. I live and breathe music - both on stage and behind the scenes. I obtained (with honors) a B.S. in Music Business, with an emphasis in Opera Performance in 2007 and continue to perform regularly in a variety of venues, from musicals to weddings and everything in between.
