In 2009, I graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, and my primary instruments were violin, viola, and piano. After graduation, I continued to maintain my home studio where I taught individual lessons, and I also taught elementary orchestra for Chandler Unified. My teaching style is flexible and aims to motivate the student to fall in love with playing and practicing on his or her own. At each lesson I will ask if there is something is particular that the student was troubled by during the previous week’s practicing and aim to solve that problem together. Eventually the student will learn how to problem solve during practicing. I encourage students to listen to many recordings of the works that they are learning to find inspiration. Read More

I began teaching lessons while workibg on my Master's degree. While tutoring a classmate on guitar, I realized that I really enjoyed teaching and decided to pursue more students. My music therapy training gives me a unique approach to education enabling me to tailor all of my students lessons to their personal goals and needs. I attended the Horne School of Music on a music scholarship for one year (2015-2016), but was struck with severe health issues that forced me to come back to Arizona and take some time away from performing to take care of my body. However, after 2 years of this, I am now getting ready to attend ASU as a violin performance major with a minor in philosophy.
