For beginning students in any genre, I begin with learning songs. Classical, jazz, bluegrass, and rock are more easily understood when you spend time playing the music with someone else. Even hold the little right hand for help for the bow move, A lot times I need help left hand and press down fingers, Only take two or three weeks they will control their little hands .
