I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I am currently pursuing my degree in music education with a concentration in voice at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. My instruments include classical voice, which I have been studying for 6 years, and classical piano, which I have been studying for 10 plus years. I've also had the opportunity to perform in various concert halls and ensembles around the world, including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Beijing Watercube Olympic Stadium, and many churches throughout Germany, which has contributed to my experiences as both a performer and as an educator. I first started teaching when my piano teacher assigned me to be her assistant back in 2009, I provided her 7-28 year old students with singing lessons. As I proven myself to be an accomplished instructor I received a job as Choir Instructor at School of Music 'Vladimir Djordjevic', where I worked for 1 year before heading to Boston to start my studies at Berklee. In 2010 I started teaching private lessons part time in my home studio, where I conducted voice, piano, music theory, and solfeggio lessons to a total of 16 students, who showed incredible improvements over all 4 years that they stayed under my instruction. I love to do a combination of Suzuki and traditional styles. I believe ear-training and traditional sight-reading are both crucial to young musicians. I began Suzuki piano when I was five and I'm so thankful to have such a keen ear as a professional violinist. If the student has had music lessons before, I'm very happy to continue teaching whatever method they had previously started with. I use written materials including songs that have already been written by other composers, as well as my own etudes so that the lesson can be properly practiced. Depending on the individual student's technical ability and style of music they wish to learn, I write practice exercises specifically catered to them.
