For younger students, especially children, I will begin their first vocal lesson by standing next to them and showing them how to stand with correct posture. Then I will move on to breathing by having the child place their hand on their diaphragm. I will show them that it is the muscle right above their stomach. Im a very go with the flow type of teacher. I will always cater to my students needs, so if that means sticking with one song for a year, thats what we will do. What I dont want to happen is for music to become a chore, so if we find that something isnt working, I have no problem switching it up. I am a music teacher who is very passionate about imparting knowledge and sharing music with my students. I have been teaching music theory, solfeggio, voice, counterpoint and choral conducting. I graduated with three degrees in music, namely Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Bachelor of Music in Voice, Bachelor of Music in Conducting.
