I started playing piano at eight years old, violin at eleven years old, guitar at around the age of seventeen, and have been singing ever since I could produce the sound, taking private vocal lessons in high school and college. Growing up in Memphis, I began playing the piano at age 6. After moving to bass guitar a few years later, I finally picked up my brother's acoustic guitar and never looked back. At Vanderbilt University, I studied music and English and began gigging professionally in Nashville while still finishing my degree.
