I've actually written and produced my own music theory book that was in all Borders stores before they closed down. I've learned a few methods and I try to incorporate them all unless the student or parents wants something specific. My method is a method where I can teach 1 thing countless ways. I love my students to learn theory because it is a very important backbone to music. Some people can play instruments without ever really kwoing what they are playing or understand the theory behind it, and I think it holds them back from truely being creative and understanding of music.    With my methods students will be able to play from any genre, any book, and hopefully will be able to create their own music. Hello and Welcome to my Musika Presence! Having been both an avid student and a teacher over the majority of my life, I understand what it is to learn from both perspectives. I have developed the skill and patience to really listen and observe individual aspiring musicians' capabilities, way of gathering information and processing it. I take students from where they are at a particular point in time, toward where they want to be. Read More

For all of my students, I let them pick a song (vocal) or piece (violin) that they would like to sing or play. This way I can analyze what level they are on. For my voice students, I start with vocal warm-up exercises of the different vowels. It helps me to understand their range as well as tone of voice. For my violin students, I usually stick with the Suzuki Method, or Essential Elements books, if they are in the more beginning stages. Read More

I have been teaching voice students for 5 years. I like to focus on building good technique for any style of singing, with classical singing technique being the basis of that. For my younger students, I particularly like to focus on building good practicing habits and helping them learn how to be self starting and disciplined. I've always believed that learning an instrument is a life tool, not just a hobby! Read More

For Piano Students: I usually use the Alfred Piano Course book series, unless a student has already established themselves in a different lesson book series, are familiar with it, and wish to stay with that series. There is an adult series of Alfred Piano Course lesson books as well, so I am able to gear lessons for adults towards their teaching series as well. I usually teach beginning to intermediate level piano students, so these books are extremely helpful to those students because they teach proper fundamentals of piano playing, as well as theory, ear training, and technique. I am no drill sergeant, but I wont lie to you either. I know when you've practiced and when you haven't. I encourage you and always be honest with you about your progress. I am on your side and want you to succeed.  That being said, I have a fairly structured lesson. Starting with a breif warm up, we wilk touch upon a review of the previous lesson, technique drills, and then the music we are currently workung on. Read More

I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves to share her knowledge and love of music. In the fall of 2019, I graduate from Bridgewater State University with Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a focus in Vocal Performance. Performing has been one of the great experiences of my life as a vocalist. I've had the opportunity to sing in other countries like Costa Rica, as well as this country, one of the places being Carnegie Hall in New York City. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
