I started first by teaching kindermusik for babies and toddlers in a neighborhood church location and a music studio in the Copperfield area, then I opened my home studio in 2004 by offering group keyboarding lessons for many young beginners. For beginning students (regardless of age instrument) I try to simplify the approach and work on a set of warm ups/exercises coupled with a performance piece or song that they can feel good about and lots of fun listening assignments. From there I have a few options of instruction methods that I tailor to the individual student.
