Music is the most beautiful thing in my life, and I love sharing music with others by teaching and performing. I received my Bachelors and Masters degree from Taiwan where I grew up, and I came to the US and received my Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University in 2011 and my Doctor of Musical Arts from the Catholic University of America in 2017. I have performed in the US, Taiwan, the Netherlands, and Japan. Read More

I began teaching lessons part time nearly 20 years ago during my undergrad years, and have been teaching in my home studio ever since. I believe that everyone can learn to sing, that each student is unique, and that singing should be a joy. I am passionate about musical education. It is my belief that music is a gift to be shared - not just between instructor and student but also between the student and their community. Read More

I excel in repertoire finding and coaching, and I like to give song options to students— though it is up to the singer to perform what they like. Learning to sing is a different process for each person individually, and I believe that there is no fixed formula for all singers. Read More

For beginning students I stress the importance of reading music, so I heavily work on their rhythmic and melodic vocabulary. I am not set on a particular methods book because I am a firm believer that all students learn differently and some methods work better for some than others. I like to be adaptive in my teaching and mold my lessons to fit the needs of each individual student. Read More
