Other operatic role experience of mine includes ensemble member and Adele (cover) in Die Fledermaus, Jenny Slade in Roman Fever, and Queen of the Night in Die Zauberflte at Carnegie Mellon. I have also performed as a soloist with the Carnegie Mellon University choir and the CMU Singers chamber group. This past December I was the soprano soloist in the Faur Requiem with the Carnegie Mellon University choir. In addition, I have attended the Redwoods Opera Workshop, the Savannah Voice Experience Festival, and the International Vocal Arts Institute where I performed the role of Le Converse in Suor Angelica and was a soloist on several concert programs. Nothing is more important than the student enjoying themselves. I want to encourage my students' passion for music by allowing them to learn at their own pace. I believe in encouragement and positive reinforcement, I will never discourage a student to study music. Music is for everyone and should never be considered out of reach for anyone. We will explore the music that the student is passionate about and I will help them learn it so that they can perform the piece to the top of their ability. Read More

The lesson starts with Awareness Through Movement (ATM) applying the Feldenkrais Method to get the student in a state where the mind-body learns new possibilitites of movement, making the body feel more comfortable and expanded. It is a first "tuning" before working directly with the sounding voice. Breathing excercises and vocal technique are to continue. I would say that I am quite fungible when it comes to a particular style of teaching. I always try to bring a lot of energy and excitement to each individual student! I will teach my methods, but try to find the right language for the student to best understand.
