I love working with students of all ages! In 2018, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy from Charleston Southern University and have been teaching ever since. I grew up traveling with my older siblings who are all musicians, and we would perform all over for concerts, weddings, social events, churches, and more. For beginner guitar students I use Mel Bays You Can Teach Yourself guitar . I emphasize chords and technique and playing melodies. For piano students I teach students first to listen and immitate and then read. Once they master some basics in reading music I introduce chords. My vocal students start each lesson with warmups and apply the techniques to the songs that they are learning. I went on to study Vocal Performance at Vanderbilt University, where I discovered the joy of Songwriting on the Piano and Guitar.
