My experience with vocal coaching started when I was a young girl helping to teach my church's choir parts for songs we had to learn. Once I went to college I joined the Gospel Chorale at Virginia State University where I helped guide the alto section for a month long European Christmas tour. She has sung background for the powerful Mrs. Ann Nesby, Eric Benet, Michael McDonald, and Wynonna Judd. She was one of the featured background singers for the AARP Songs of Soul concert at Philips Arena. She worked with such notable artists as: Debbie Allen, Ann Nesby, Chaka Khan, Pastor Shirley Ceasar, CeCe Winans, Queen Latifah, Patti Austin, Yolanda Adams, Dionne Warwick, Paris Bennett, and little Miss Jamiah from the movie August Rush. I allow my students to take the lead in lessons, and help guide them to achieve their musical goals. I work with children and adults, and lessons are always fun and enlightening! It is very rewarding watching my students grow and stretch their range. I encourage students to challenge themselves, but I also do not give them more than they can handle.
