In 2022, I graduated with my Masters of Music in Vocal Performance from Binghamton University. Over the past ten years, I have spent time performing on stage in concerts, operas, and musical theatre. I enjoy the variety in ages as I believe my approach to teaching is one of building a strong musical foundation and I am skilled and flexible to teach these concepts to all ages. My love for singing started when I was eight years old. I grew up singing in the Los Angeles Childrens Chorus which gave me much experience as a working musician starting at age eleven. I sang alongside notable alumnus Billie Eilish, as well as with Gustavo Dudamel, the LA Phil, and the LA Master Chorale. I am completing my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst this year and plan to continue my studies of voice and vocal pedagogy in my graduate studies. I do tend to assign, as mentioned elsewhere, listening homework. I do this because I've seen it help students learn what they want to and need to learn faster as well as help students learn to like, love, or at least appreciate new things. The main point here is that every student is complex, difficult, and hard insomuch as teaching method required, but my passion is so great that I don't see issues or problems but rather new opportunities to get students excited about learning and demonstrating what they've learned.
