Instruments: Piano Voice
For piano, I like to begin with fundamentals such as five finger exercises and musical literacy teachings to ensure growth of musical understanding as well as proper technique. I have had great success using the Faber and Faber book series, as this gets students in the music quickly. From there, there is so much solo repertoire to explore! I have a passion and preference for classical composers, but have experience with pop and modern techniques as well. Read More

My teaching style has been described by students as such: "Natural, with a focus on healthy singing," "concentrating on developing techniques specific to each genre of music," and "always fun but still really helpful!" I emphasize becoming self-sufficient as a musician so that my students can become great musicians outside of the lesson environment. We work together during each lesson to safely develop the voice and learn techniques appropriate to each style of music. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice
My teaching style is free flowing and depends on the specific student. Everybody's experience with music is different and not everybody will pick things up as quickly as others so you must meet them where they are. Music is nerve-racking at first because expressing ourselves isn't something that is always encouraged so I look for something they are interested in to start off. From there, we build on musicality and find their original response to music. Read More

I believe in celebrating even small achievements that mean a student's abilities are growing, while keeping an eye on the big picture of what skills are needed to perform at the level the student would like. Above all, I want the experience to be personal and fun. The last thing I'd want to do is make rules or goals that get in the way of the student's interest in making music. Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Trombone
For beginners, I start with basic scale structure and an introdction to ear training. Solo repertoire is then added to the mix. For adults, I try to find what the student is interested in and guide my instruction accordingly. Always keep lessons fun, no matter what! Read More
Instruments: Piano Voice Keyboard
I began teaching voice as a school project when I was 14 years old and realized that I I loved it! From then on, I always kept my hand in teaching throughout my high school and college years. I started teaching full time, at which point I added piano and speaking to my repertoire. I have experience as a performing singer, session musician and actor and I I love helping my students get the most out their lessons, whether they simply want to learn their instrument to the best of their ability, or learn more about writing music and the industry. Instruments: Voice
I have been teaching music for right around 10 years now. After having my own children, I started sharing Kindermusik with babies, toddlers and parents. I then moved into teaching preschool students music enrichment classes. When I found out that our local School of Rock was hiring, and being a professional musician myself, I felt that was an amazing fit. I was able to teach young kids just starting out and help them learn how to work in a band together. Read More
