Both my piano lessons and vocal coaching emphasize technique but my main goal is to build confidence in performance. I use a combination of yoga and Alexander Technique to encourage mindfulness of the body, and I use traditional vocal techniques that apply to every style to make a singer feel an ease of vocal production. I began helping my friends work through their music when I was 19 at Missouri Western State University, and eventually cultivated a bustling studio of students through word of mouth. I now teach full time in Zoom and in person with house visits, or at my home studio. I am currently teaching theatre at Providence School of Arts and I have been teaching private lessons since 2017. From there we move on: Beginner students will work on basic fundamentals. Advanced students will work on the chosen piano piece. Afterwards will discuss what next lesson's goal will be. In order for students to achieve their goals, both long-term and short-term, it is expected of them to practice at least 30 minutes a day.
