 I have been teaching in the Columbus area for 14 years.  I have studied piano and voice for 30 years performing and had experience auditioning for and performing in musical theater, opera, and contemporary settings. After earning my degree from otterbein, I have maintained a studio of 25-30 students in the westerville/New Albany area.  I currently reside with my husband and three children, three dogs, and a cat in New Albany where we run one location of my studios. These questions will help drive my teaching of the student and helps me design lessons that will help them grow. My teaching style feels relaxed but I work hard to keep students in their least restrictive environment. We dont want the student to be too challenged or bored. For this reason I am flexible with the content we work on and the order in which we complete different parts of the lesson. I have a passion for music. I started on the piano when I was seven years old and I've never looked back. After spending years in grade school, junior high and high school learning and performing in the band program on trumpet and euphonium, I moved on to play euphonium in The Most Exciting Band in the Land, the Ohio University Marching 110! I work with the needs and goals of the individual student, and incorporates a wide variety of teaching styles into my lessons.
