I find ways to tap into the potential of all students (of any age), and assist them in goal setting, using music as a tool in many ways, and building the confidence to continue adding music- performance or not- into their lives. My method changes depending on the person. Everyone will begin with learning their basic major scales and then we'll proceed to minor and diminish. Arpeggios will also be included in scale warm up to help with muscle memory. Depending on the level, I will then pick an etude book to further their technique. This will help them with muscle memory, speed, and even in theory. Etudes are a great way to practice sight reading skills and expression. Read More
