I then continued teaching once in college by volunteering at local high schools helping new students to the band programs learn brass and percussion. He studied these instruments while attaining his Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from Brooklyn College under the esteemed Bernard Goldberg (Flute), Bob Ingliss (Oboe), and Paul Cohen (Saxophone).
