I've primarily had private guitar students in the past, truthfully nobody has ever been consistent. They were all generally beginners but were at various stages. I hope they're still out they're playing guitar! Prior to becoming a full time musician I taught music lessons with the Boys and Girls Club of Austin, from October 2012- Jan 2014. After this I left my position to tour heavily. Most of the "teaching" I do these days is more like "trading" licks with other guitarists, or teaching freebie licks to beginners in jam situations. From the first lesson on, we will work on proper hand technique and body mechanics so that you can build strength/endurance/speed and avoid injury. I will open your ears to all the different sounds the drums and cymabals can make. We will explore great books, songs, and videos from amazing dummers and if you have a piece of music you want to learn, I will help with that as well. Read More

I like to use custom lesson plans. I evaluate the student's playing and ask what they want to improve on and/or want to learn. Based off of this, I might use rhythmic study exercises from Ted Reed's "Syncopation" or hand patterns from the book "Stick Control", playing on both a practice pad and the kit. I like to have students play a simple 8th note groove, backbeat on 2 & 4 and incorporate bass drum precision exercises, eventually using different hi hat patterns. Read More

I typically begin with rhythm. The best melodies would not be worth anything if they aren't played with rhythm. After a student gains basic familiarity with their instrument I use a metronome (a musician's best and worst friend. Instead of playing traditional exercises, I teach students their favorite songs and techniques typical of their favorite genres. With my understanding of theory I try to incorporate a tiny bit of theory into every lesson to make an initially intimidating subject more accessible. Read More

I have several method books from college that I can easily print copies and share with my students. I also have several packets and other online resources that will help the students achieve their goal. Technique is essential and very important. So we'll make sure that the student will have proper technique and breathe properly in the rhythm of the song so things flow smoothly and everything is done with ease. Read More

Apart from being the drummer for Seek Irony, I worked as a professional session drummer for ten years before moving to the US about a year and a half ago. I used to play drums for half of the music industry in Israel. So far, I’ve recorded drums on over fifty records and performed over a thousand shows in my drumming career.Right before moving to the US, I was asked to record drums for a special musical project on a song that involved Israel and China’s top singers and was meant to celebrate a twenty-year anniversary of diplomacy between the two countries.
