I started teaching private lessons in high school, for free, to other students in the percussion section of both the concert and marching bands. Shortly after starting as a music major at Asbury Univeristy I continued to teach lessons. During my collegiate years I also was involved in taking private lessons and playing for all available percussion-needed ensembles (concert band, jazz band, orchestra, etc.). Consistenly since leaving high school I have also played in both rock bands and wedding bands and I consider these to be extremely helpful in my teaching experience. Read More

Reading is my main way of getting things into perspective. I originally learned by ear, it paid off for live situation but, reading is where I found the most connection. I create a hands on curriculum based on the students musical proficiency. Alongside this structured lesson plan, every student will receive training on proper practicing techniques which help build their sense of guidance, responsibility, and structure.
