I am a very dedicated and caring music teacher with 23 years of experience. I have taught students of all ages from early elementary school to senior citizens. All of my NYSSMA participating students have received scores of excellent or outstanding in Grades 1-4, and in the 90's on Levels 5 and 6. For age 0-4, I have opened Zumbini program for those babies and their caregivers. My piano lessons start at age 4. For those beginner students, I use Piano Adventures from Faber and Faber, typically focused on lesson books, performance books and theory books. When students move on to the higher levels, I will start to introduce easy classical repertoire, such as J.S. Bach or Bergermuller. While Joey loves to preform, he is passionate about teaching. He has been teaching since 2011. His teaching career began through the non-profit Bravo Waukegan in their Bravo Buddies Summer Camp. He began as the woodwind instructor and through the years worked to become the Artistic Director, managing all aspects of the month long camp.
