I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. I prefer one on one lesson time. Parents are welcome to stay and watch if they'd like. I don't have a particular style. It is important to adopt a teaching style that is tailored to the individual needs of each student, especially because each student learns at their own pace. Setting goals is one of the first topics I discuss with my students, and then indicate some of the steps they need to take to achieve the goals that they set for themselves. Keeping track of a student's hours of practice and their musical achievements is beneficial for me to determine what new material and concepts to work on, and also allows the student to stay organized and motivated.  Read More

I admit my experience is limited, but I definitely have the knowledge, the expertise, and the passion it takes to make a great teacher, as well as having several music teachers with long, successful careers in my family that I can turn to for mentoring. In November 2013, Roy moved to the New York City vicinity to discipline himself, and study Jazz as a music based on American culture. In March 2015, Roy was accepted to the Manhattan School of Music. And also, he was transferred to CUNY Queens College, Aaron Copland School of Music. Then he graduated with the degree of Master of Music in Jazz Study in 2018. Roy participated “George Gershwin International Music Competition2017 in New York” as a Classical-Jazz saxophonist, and won third prize in Woodwinds and Brass category in the competition. Read More
