I think it's important to consistently accomplish small goals in order to raise one's self esteem and motivation to practice the instrument. I put a strong emphasis on listening, reading, writing, improvisation, and playing with others. Students who are new to the instrument will be introduced to the fundamentals of the guitar. Having work with all levels of students, I understand that and recognize that I want to tailor my lessons to the students needs so they can be most successful.
