Learning discipline, focus, problem solving skills, awareness, and interpretation in the practice room is useful in every aspect of life. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson, I also ask the students what do you want to achieve today in this lesson, or this week. For my string students, I typically use Hal Leonard's Essential Elements at first, and then I introduce the Suzuki Method for solo repertoire once they have progressed on their instruments. For my vocal students, I find what type of music my student is interested in, and I then recommend a voice book that we will pick repertoire from. For my piano students, I use the Piano Adventures series, which includes the fundamentals as well as solo repertoire. Read More

She is a fully-trained Suzuki cello teacher and Dalcroze Eurythmics instructor having completed her training at the Cleveland Institute of Music Suzuki Pedagogy Program. She currently holds teaching positions with the Cincinnati Young Artists, University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music Preparatory, 2019 CYA Summer Cello Academy, Indian Springs Academy of Music and Musika Lessons.
