I have several methods, but mostly I teach to sing based on solfeage and songs, either italian, german, latin, spanish, and french. Solfeage helps the student to understand better sheet music and also helps understand the real emotion of the piece, among other things involved in a piece. Growing up, I was always active playing with several youth orchestras and various ensembles, ranging from classical to popular and folk music.
