I fell in love with music at a young age, hearing relatives sing and play, and began taking guitar and bass lessons as a teen.  I then majored in bass and music at Onondaga Community College, which is known for it's music program.  I have had the opportunity to tour the country with a band out of Austin, Texas, as a signed professional musician with a national act.  I recorded a love show for XM Radio, and have had a song played on NPR. My teaching style is to go at the student's pace but also to gently encourage and motivate all along the way. In this way, the students has the incentive to work at their own pace while I try to move the momentum along. The whole idea is to have fun while learning and to motivate each other by learning and playing music together. My additional teaching style is to also listen to music together and assign trumpeters to listen to. in this way the student is able to hear what other trumpet players sound like and can hopefully acquire the sound they like and want in their ear to emulate it in their own sound. In 1997, I began working for a local dance school, where I taught, ballet, jazz and tap. I also gave piano lessons through the studio. In 2006 I opened my own studio "Centre Des Arts Watertown", where I taught ballet, ballet en pointe, tap and jazz, theater, piano and French. I also directed numerous plays, musicals and ballets through my studio. I no longer have my own studio; however, it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Read More
