By giving piano lessons, all kinds of music knowledges should be taught. I prefer focus on both performance skills and the art/music knowledge in general. Homework is always needed because being able to play piano is the goal of the students.I will have my students practice etude, sonata/sonatina,polyphony pieces and modern pieces at the same time. I then went into private teaching in 2009, and have been teaching student of all ages at their homes. My students have gotten in to region, all-state, college music programs, prestigious summer festivals, and placed in national competitions. I've taught children with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. I started playing violin at the age of 4, and started teaching at 17. In 2003, I started playing viola, and in 2005, I started learning cello. In 2010, I graduated from Stetson University with a Bachelor of Music degree with electives in Psychology. For my beginner saxophone students we will start by assembling the instrument and using the Hal Leonard's Essential Elements to learn the basic fingerings and songs. As for my beginner piano students we will start off with the Faber Piano Adventures book and work our way through the lessons. Once the student becomes more comfortable with their instruments we will start introducing appropriate solo repertoire and find songs that the individual student would enjoy learning. Read More

I'm a drummer of 22 years!, I have featured on numerous records as a session drummer, played hundreds of shows across the country (mostly rock/metal but occasionally jazz/funk/country) I have been classically trained from age 6-present (yes, teachers need teachers too!
