Since 2009, I worked with a distinguished Professor Mate Bekavac on specialized approaches to the standards of music pedagogy. As a result, I have developed a teaching method, which combines ‘awareness instruction method’, with basic teachings in music. This method teaches students how to think, work, study, and practice by themselves so that they can become independent musicians. Additionally, my community engagements with children with disabilities taught me compassion and patience. Read More
Instruments: Voice
To begin with, I teach my students how to develop their own warm up method which includes breathing and stretching, vocalizations and good old fashioned solfege. You will learn to understand your own vocal mechanism and how it resonates, as well as how breath support works, and their effects on the singing voice. My teaching style is customized to the student. I encourge working with scales, rhythms, improvisation, ear-training, also working with and learning songs. Read More

I have been a passionate musician ever since I picked up the trombone in the 5th grade. That love of music has led me to pursue a degree in music education at Southern New Hampshire University. Music has been the driving force in my life and much of what I do revolves around music. I have dedicated much of my life to becoming a better musician and teacher and I look forward to extending my love of music to as many students as possible. Read More

All of my students follow more or less a similar path that deviates a bit once they have developed some. No matter the age I start all students off with building fundamentals of tone, flexibility, articulation, and range. I use a combination of exercises from David Vining, UNC's own Buddy Baker, and Emory Remington. While building fundamental playing skills I will have students begin playing etudes. Younger students will start in their band method books, but as time goes on they will transition into Rochut's Melodious etudes, and the Rubank method books. Read More
Instruments: Saxophone
Reading; Reading skill is very useful when you play with other musicians or you can't memorize a tune. Music notation is not very complicated. I will teach you how to read and write sheet music. Technic; The more technic you have, the more things you can play. Improvisation; Everyone can improvise. Let me help you to fly over music. Time; Steady time, variable time, rhythm Harmony; Why harmony? Even though saxophone is a monophonic (one pitch at a time) instrument, understand, listen, remember and forehear the harmony is also essential to have more fun out of music. Read More
Instruments: Cello
I center the way I teach technique around what "feels" good to a student, especially older students who have already started, to make sure that we are able to prevent and respond to injuries. So, I start with stretching and will frequently refer back to exercises that are meant to integrate physical ease into playing. Aside from that, I try to balance a consistent routine/expectation of things I want to cover (asking for things a week in advance, always playing a scale at the start of the lesson, etc), while also meeting a student where they are at on the day. Instruments: Guitar Music Electric Guitar Acoustic Guitar
I grew up in Germany and started taking classical guitar lessons at age 10. After my dad took me to some Rock concerts, I wanted to learn the electric guitar. The two concerts that had the biggest impact on me during that time was seeing Yngwie Malmsteen and catching his pick as well as seeing Gary Moore. It got me interested in Hard Rock, Neoclassical Shred, and Blues. I started taking courses at a music school near Frankfurt, Germany when I was a teenager. Read More
