I went on to learning country instrumentals, Surf music instrumentals, blues and 70's rock songs [Allman Brothers etc.]. I was amazed by the Chet Atkins style of playing so I buckled down on that. I teach Classical and church piano, along with sightreading, ear training, performance techniques, music theory, and other techniques specially designed to give my students the most well-rounded learning experience possible. I tend to prefer Piano Adventures for younger students and teens, and incorporate use of the corresponding app whenever possible.
