For beginning piano students I typically use the Alfred Method. Once the student demonstrates a grasp of the fundamentals I introduce solo repertoire. For adults I typically use the John Thompson Adult Piano Course and we work together to find the solo repertoire. For voice lessons, I typically teach the bel canto style. I will work with vocalises that help develop breath control, placement and open vowels. The biggest accomplishment to me is helping students of all ages fall in love with music just like I did as a child. Students do not need to perform infront of others if they truly wish not to, as long as they enjoy what they are doing. It is important that a student continues to progress during their time with me, however this will be at their own pace. Finding out what goals each student has and what inspires them in order to tailor my instruction to each student is critical to the students development in music. Read More

After graduating from the University of Tulsa, I began teaching at Brook Fine Arts Academy in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I taught over 30 students a week in both voice and piano (ages 3 to 20) for over a year. I base my teaching out of the Schroeder Violoncello Methods for all ages along with the Schroeder 170 cello studes. Along with that I pick pieces that the student will find enjoyable as a means to keep them encouraged. Music has always been a passion for me. I'm motivated to work with students and show them how music can transform them as a person and musician. In 2016, I graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelors in Instrumental Music Education and a Bachelors in Percussion Performance. Performing in different types of ensembles throughout the years has given me versatility as a precussionist in many different styles, such as marching band, classical, musical theatre, latin jazz and hip-hop.
