I teach Wunderkeys to pre-schoolers ages 4 5. This method gives them a head-start in math as well as patterning. I start beginner piano students (ages 6 and up) with Faber's Piano Adventures. I introduce intermediate students to Alfred's Premier Piano Course as this method starts them on solo repertoire. I find out what adult students are interested in and guide my instruction accordingly to keep them engaged. If my students are not having fun, then I'm not doing my job! Read More

I believe the foundation of progress is consistency, so I try to establish routines with my students, spending part of each lesson on technical exercises, theory/aural skills training, and repertoire. I also set performance goals for students by organizing recitals *this has been more tricky during Covid, but I think it is important nonetheless to get students to perform from memory at least twice a year (once at the end of fall and spring terms). My playing experience dates back over ten years while my teaching experience dates back four years. I have had the opportunity to travel to Europe and South America to perform with symphony orchestras. I spent my college days making extra spending cash playing in weddings and small events. In 2009, I graduated from Tianjin Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor of Arts in Keyboards Performance.
