I started teaching two years ago at a private lesson studio in Denver called My Music Skool. My main focus was on piano and saxophone. Now I teach privately as a freelance musician. Two points I emphasize when teaching are practicing at least once a day no matter how long you play and learning what inspires you. My loveof music began at a young age through playing piano, percussion, and guitarand continued to grow throughout my years of schooling. After having failed music theory in high school, I pulled a ‘180’ in college, passing all my music theory courses with 90-100% scores. So, I felt I’d be a trusted candidate to start tutoring classmates and friends in music theory. Read More

In 2012, I earned my Bachelors Degree in music performance from the University of Nebraska Omaha while studying with classical guitarist Hadley Heavin. Upon graduation, I was awarded scholarship and teaching assistantship to attend the Lamont School of Music where I am currently finalizing my Masters of Music Performance. Read More
