At the same time, I assign exercises that will help develop the students technique. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. My teaching method is very keen to diagrams. In my experience, it can be hard to visualize some of the terminology that is provided my teachers. Using diagrams helps to put the instructors words into a more visual format.
